How Do YouFeel About Wallpaper? Throwback or Throw-up?
I've seen a lot of strong feelings about wallpaper lately. People either love it or hate it. Like it or not wallpaper is making a strong comeback. And I think I'm starting to love it.
I'll bet when you think of wallpaper you think of the 1970's kitchen.
Or maybe you think of the foil wallpaper in the 1950's bathroom?
While I'm sure you can still get those, the options available now are spectacular.
Wallpaper has come a long way in the last couple of decades. Every style you can imagine is available. Bright and bold, soft pastels, and murals.
I'll bet you're thinking you don't want to commit to a whole rooms with wallpaper. You don't have to. Wallpaper is being used in so many different ways. There are different application styles and tons of ways to buy wallpaper. Let's dive into wallpaper decor options!
One of my favorites is the bold half bath. Most people think to use bold and/or dark colors in a half bath will make it seem smaller but that is a myth. Committing to color, throughout the space can actually create the feeling of more space. Some great combinations could be using painted wainscotting with wallpaper, wallpaper from ceiling to floor or even a wallpapered ceiling with painted walls.
So many great options to create a beautiful space out of a commonly overrlooked room.
Where else can i use wallpaper to make an impact? I'm glad you asked.
Of course, the obvious places are the walls of your living room, kitchen and bedroom. The wallpaper choices available now can make your room jump off the pages of design magazines. The possibilities are endless. Here are some examples:
Now, I understand if this is way too big of a commitment. Perhaps you'll want to dip your toes in just a little at a time. This is where an accented entryway, wallpapered pantry or wallpaper art can make an incredible impact.
The wallpaper framed art is probably my favorite. You could, literally, change your mind daily! When you can't find art that you love you can make it with wallpaper.
The good news is that wallpaper can be non-committal. Peel and stick wallpaper is a great option and can be gentle on your walls when removed. This will allow you to change with the trends.
I hope this has shined a much nicer light on wallpaper. It's something to consider to make your rooms stand out. Cu29 Designs is here to help you make great design choices so give us a call!
